These terms govern your use of the SaferBite iOS application, published by AlphaBotPro. By downloading or using SaferBite you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. What SaferBite does

SaferBite scans product barcodes and displays an informational health score based on publicly available product data and a transparent scoring method (nutritional quality, additives, and organic labeling).

Not medical advice. SaferBite scores are informational only. They are not medical, dietary, or allergy advice and must not be used as the sole basis for health decisions. Product data comes from a community database and may be incomplete or out of date — always check the physical label, especially for allergens. Consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary guidance.

2. Product data

Product information is sourced from Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts, community databases available under the Open Database License (ODbL). We do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. Scores are generated by an independent algorithm; no brand can pay to alter a score.

3. Premium subscription

SaferBite Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) purchased through your Apple ID.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price shown at purchase.
Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer the app, scrape or resell its outputs at scale, or use it in any unlawful way. The free tier's daily scan limit may not be circumvented by technical means.

5. Intellectual property

The SaferBite app, name, scoring method presentation, and design are owned by AlphaBotPro. Product database content remains under its own ODbL license and the rights of its contributors.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

SaferBite is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlphaBotPro is not liable for any damages arising from use of the app or reliance on its scores, including decisions made about food, cosmetics, allergies, or health.

7. Changes to the service or terms

We may modify the app or these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted in release notes and on this page.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
